Job Summary: The role involves planning and administering occupational therapy treatment programs to help patients restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability due to disease, injury, or loss of body part.

Essential Functions:

  • Utilizes an outward mindset to achieve personal and team goals.
  • Assesses the appropriateness of prescribed therapies based on patient evaluations.
  • Conducts tests and records therapy procedures and results.
  • Reviews physician referrals and medical records to determine necessary treatments.
  • Administers therapeutic exercises and assists patients in their rehabilitation.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in Michigan and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Preferred one year of experience with all age groups; strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Working Conditions: Potential exposure to infectious diseases.

Physical Requirements: Requires constant reaching, visual acuity, and communication; frequent lifting of 1-25 lbs, and occasional lifting of 25-50+ lbs.
