Summary:
Surgical assistants aid surgeons during operations by providing exposure, hemostasis, and closure, while also performing preoperative and postoperative duties. They work under the surgeon’s supervision and adhere to hospital policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Assist the surgeon throughout all surgical phases.
Facilitate patient positioning and preparation.
Perform specific surgical tasks as per surgeon’s preferences.
Assess skin integrity and assist in patient transfer.
Execute additional duties as delegated by the surgeon.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited Surgical First Assist Program.
2 years of Surgical Tech experience preferred.
BLS and Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant required.
ACLS preferred.
Work Schedule: 4 Days – 10 Hours
Work Type: Full Time
