Job Description
> REF:#6cac96436a782220Position Summary: The role involves treating neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems through physical or mechanical means to restore function impaired by injury or disease, as prescribed by a physician and under the direction of a physical therapist. Responsibilities include following the care plan, administering physical therapy modalities, and collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associates Degree from a Physical Therapist Assistant Program
- Certifications: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant licensure & BLS certification
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; accountability in assessment and decision-making
- Experience: None required
Supervision: Reports to the Director/Manager of Rehab Services.
Environment: Clean, well-ventilated, smoke-free; potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous chemicals.
Physical Requirements: Good physical condition; ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment up to 50 lbs.
