Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides essential nursing care, assists physicians, administers medications, and monitors patient vital signs. The RN plays a key role in patient care planning and implementation, ensuring safe procedures and offering leadership to support staff.

Unit Overview:

6NT is a 36-bed cardiac care unit for post-operative patients, focusing on early detection of medical issues and providing comprehensive care, including assessments and patient education.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Current Texas RN License, CPR, ACLS, EKG, and NIHSS certifications required within specified timeframes
