Job Description

Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides essential nursing care to ensure patient comfort and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient records. The RN plays a key role in patient care planning and implementation, while also leading support staff.

The CVICU is an 8-bed unit specializing in cardiovascular services, requiring RNs to work closely with surgeons and provide high-level care.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Current Texas RN License
• CPR and ACLS certifications required
• Additional unit-specific certifications may be needed
