Summary:
This position involves performing medical ultrasound procedures as per physician orders, adhering to guidelines from the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and American Society Radiologic Technologists. The technologist will manage ultrasound equipment, provide patient care, and document procedures accurately. They will work under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and assist in patient assessments and invasive procedures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct high-quality ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision.
Document equipment calibration and ensure proper billing.
Assist in invasive biopsy procedures.
Maintain ultrasound room supplies and equipment readiness.
Adapt patient assessments to meet individual needs.
Adhere to organizational values and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
1-year experience in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, and Breast Ultrasound preferred.
ARDMS or ARRT/Sonography certification required within one year.
Current BLS certification required.
