> REF:#52db16cddcb1e2ebPosition Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers comprehensive nursing care in an acute care setting, ensuring safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care tailored to individual patient needs. Adheres to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
Education, License & Certification:
- Must be a licensed RN in the state of practice.
- BSN preferred; specialty certification and BLS required.
- ACLS and PALS certifications are unit-dependent.
Experience: Minimum one year of RN experience required, or less if transitioning from the NLRN Program. Must meet educational requirements specific to the nursing unit.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts patient assessments and develops care plans.
- Advocates for ethical care and promotes patient autonomy.
- Facilitates learning for patients and healthcare team members.
- Ensures safety and quality in nursing practice.
- Engages in professional development and leadership.
Other Duties:
- Proficient in IT and electronic health records.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrates critical judgment and interpersonal skills.
- Manages multiple responsibilities effectively.
