> REF:#5055f763a06dfeb0The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management services for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, administering respiratory care procedures as per physician orders. Responsibilities include oxygen and aerosol therapy, intubations, arterial punctures, phlebotomy, and mechanical ventilation. The Therapist plans, implements, and evaluates treatment effectiveness while communicating with healthcare providers.
Licensure requirements include Registered Respiratory Therapist, NC Respiratory Care Practitioner, and various life support certifications. An Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required, along with one year of clinical experience, preferably in neonatology and pediatrics.
