Dental Hygienist

Job Description

We are seeking a dental hygienist to support clinic operations by providing comprehensive oral care, including polishing, scaling, root planing, and oral hygiene instruction. The role involves collaboration with dental assistants and dentists for x-rays, documentation, and patient hand-offs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited dental hygienist program.
• Active Idaho dental hygienist license.
• BLS certification.
• Effective communication skills.
• 1 year of experience preferred, especially with under-served populations.

Essential Duties:

• Remove tartar and plaque, perform scaling and polishing.
• Administer local anesthetics and fluoride treatments.
• Take diagnostic x-rays and document patient conditions.
• Instruct patients on oral hygiene and maintain infection control.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and participate in team coordination.
