Summary:
This position involves performing medical ultrasound procedures as per physician orders, adhering to guidelines from relevant professional organizations. The technologist will manage ultrasound equipment, provide patient care, and document procedures accurately. They will work under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and assist in patient assessments and invasive procedures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct high-quality ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision.
Document equipment calibration and ensure readiness of ultrasound rooms.
Assist Radiologists in biopsy procedures.
Maintain accurate billing and documentation.
Adapt patient assessments to meet individual needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
Minimum 1-year experience in relevant ultrasound fields preferred.
ARDMS or ARRT/Sonography certification required within one year.
BLS certification required.
