Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Description

The LPN/LVN provides nursing care to terminally ill patients in the VITAS program, following the Nurse Practice Act. Key responsibilities include:

• Administering skilled bedside care and evaluating patient/family needs.
• Assisting in the interdisciplinary care plan and performing treatments under RN supervision.
• Monitoring patient reactions and documenting significant findings.
• Maintaining a safe environment and engaging in patient/family education.
• Participating in professional growth and on-call rotations.

Qualifications include a nursing degree, state licensure, and at least one year of relevant experience. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift patients.
