Registered Nurse (RN)- Operating Room (OR)- PART TIME

Job Description

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive care to surgical patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs are met. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and evaluating nursing care while maintaining continuity during the surgical experience.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Current Pennsylvania nursing license and familiarity with the Nurse Practice Act.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (or ability to obtain ACLS within one year).
• Experience in the OR preferred; varying experience levels accepted.
• Strong communication, organizational, and manual dexterity skills.

Essential Duties:

• Supervise and direct patient care in the operating room.
• Perform scrub and circulating duties efficiently.
• Maintain an aseptic environment and assist surgical teams.
• Monitor patient conditions and manage supplies and equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotation and report unusual occurrences.

Physical Demands: Moderate physical effort required, including lifting and responding to emergencies. Exposure to various hazards in a climate-controlled environment.
