Job Description

Job Summary: The Counselor I role involves providing treatment and support to clients recovering from addictions and behavioral issues. Responsibilities include:

• Participating in treatment planning and conducting assessments.
• Facilitating group and family sessions, documenting progress, and modifying problem behaviors.
• Providing crisis intervention and planning aftercare for clients.
• Offering case management and educational workshops for clients and families.
• Maintaining clear documentation and liaising with referral sources and insurance carriers.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in social or health services, relevant counseling experience, and state licensure or certification are required. CPR and de-escalation certification are also necessary.
