Summary:
The Registered Ultrasound Technologist performs medical ultrasound procedures as per physician orders, adhering to professional standards. Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, patient assessment, assisting in biopsies, and documenting procedures in medical records. The role requires effective communication and alignment with organizational values.
Responsibilities:
Conduct high-quality ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision.
Document equipment calibration and ensure readiness of the ultrasound room.
Assist Radiologists in invasive procedures and maintain accurate billing.
Adapt patient assessments to meet diverse needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
Minimum 1-year experience in relevant ultrasound fields preferred.
ARDMS or ARRT certification in Abdomen required within one year.
Current BLS certification required.
