Responsibilities include assisting physicians, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient records. The unit specializes in care for patients with respiratory disorders and post-operative needs, making it an ideal environment for new nurses and those pursuing certification in medical-surgical nursing.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• One year of nursing experience preferred
• Current Texas State RN License and CPR certification
