Job Description
> REF:#29e1fecd1a5090cdOT SUMMARY: Responsible for evaluating and treating residents and patients with various disabling conditions to enhance their daily living and working capabilities, adhering to federal guidelines and state practice acts.
OT ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Screen and evaluate patients under physician orders to develop care plans.
- Instruct residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Devise specialized tools and treatments for individual needs.
- Complete necessary documentation per policies and regulations.
OT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current Occupational Therapy license (if required).
- Preferred one year of clinical experience.
- State-approved certification for advanced treatments (if applicable).
OT SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May supervise COTAs, Rehab Aides, or provisional licensed therapists as per state guidelines.
OT OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Participate in training to protect resident health information and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
