The Infection Preventionist in a High Reliability Organization is tasked with monitoring and implementing infection surveillance, prevention, and control programs. Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitating local infection control programs under leadership guidance.
• Providing resources on infection risk assessment and control strategies.
• Utilizing epidemiology principles to monitor patient care and investigate outbreaks.
• Collaborating with leadership to develop action plans to mitigate infection risks.
• Staying updated on regulatory standards and contributing to hospital policies.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, 3 years of healthcare experience, and a CBIC CIC certification within 3 years of hire.
