Position Summary: The School Psychologist, under the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD), plays a crucial role in supporting students’ mental health and educational needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting screenings for early intervention and identification.
  • Administering diagnostic and curriculum-based assessments.
  • Providing crisis intervention and individual/group therapy.
  • Facilitating professional development for school staff.
  • Offering consultative services on instructional and social/emotional issues.
  • Coordinating community referrals and addressing cultural needs.

Qualifications: A master’s degree in school psychology from an accredited institution and a valid Type 73 State of Illinois School Service Personnel Certificate with an endorsement in School Psychology are required.
