RN, Registered Nurse – Surgical Services – PRN

Job Description

Summary: Provides professional nursing care to ensure patient comfort and well-being. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting physicians, administering medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs while maintaining patient records.

Responsibilities:

• Participates in patient care planning and implementation as a primary or associate nurse.
• Directs safe aseptic techniques and procedures.
• Leads and guides support staff within the department.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Current Texas State RN License and CPR certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within specified timeframes.
