Job Summary:
The role involves assessing patient needs, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, and providing or delegating care while evaluating patient progress towards clinical outcomes. The position also includes supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and support staff in accordance with Nebraska Statute 38.

Principal Job Functions:

  • Commit to the organization’s mission and core values.
  • Conduct assessments and reassessments based on patient needs.
  • Synthesize patient data to identify care priorities and goals.
  • Integrate care standards into patient care plans.
  • Execute therapeutic interventions and provide patient education.
  • Evaluate patient responses and progress towards outcomes.
  • Document care according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and facilitate patient transitions.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and safety practices.
  • Education and Experience:
    Current Registered Nurse licensure in Nebraska or an approved compact state, with required certifications for the practice area.

    Other Credentials:
    Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is mandatory.

    Physical Requirements:
    Medium work requiring varying levels of physical exertion.

    Location: Medical/Surgical Unit, Night Shift, Full-time.
