Job Description

Position Title: RN, Charge

Department: Birth Center

Purpose: Provide leadership for safe and effective antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care, managing resources in line with hospital guidelines and professional standards.

• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and schedule procedures.
• Make patient care assignments and ensure smooth shift transitions.
• Participate in quality monitoring and promote evidence-based practices.

Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing; RN in Iowa and Illinois within 1 year.

Experience: Over 2 years required.

Working Conditions: Exposure to physical hazards and blood-borne pathogens; safety precautions necessary.

Schedule: Part-Time, Night Shift (2300-0730).
