Job Description

The Point of Care Coordinator oversees Point of Care activities in the lab, providing updates to Medical and Administrative Directors. Responsibilities include quality control review, instrument maintenance, compliance activities, and staff oversight. The Coordinator ensures standardization of policies across Tennessee and Virginia labs, stays updated on regulatory changes, and develops new protocols. They also manage State Exemptions and serve as a resource for patient care areas and inspectors. A minimum of four years in a hospital lab is required, along with a valid Medical Technologist license. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.
