The RN Quality Improvement Specialist/Risk Manager, under the Chief Quality Officer, is responsible for enhancing healthcare quality and managing risk through activities such as medical record reviews and legal document preparation. This role involves tracking quality and litigation data, ensuring compliance, and identifying process improvement opportunities. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. The specialist will also participate in educational programs and maintain patient confidentiality.
Essential Functions:
– Communicate effectively with staff and physicians
– Coordinate peer review and litigation responses
– Analyze quality and litigation data
– Develop and implement safety policies
– Maintain records and serve as a data resource
Qualifications:
– Current RN Licensure in Oklahoma
– Minimum 2 years in performance improvement and risk management
– BLS certification within 30 days
– Bachelors degree preferred
Physical Demands:
– Heavy lifting and constant standing/walking
– Exposure to hazardous conditions
