Summary:
Assists in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, ensuring adherence to hospital standards and aseptic techniques. Responsibilities include preparing patient skin for surgery, transporting patients, positioning them, and setting up the Operating Room with necessary instruments and supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform direct patient care under a professional nurse’s direction.
  • Maintain sterile fields and assist physicians during procedures.
  • Update and manage physician preference cards.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant surgical environment.
  • Adapt care methods to meet diverse patient needs.

    • Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Surgical Technology or accredited LVN/LPN program.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Surgical Technologist certification or LVN/LPN license within 180 days of graduation.
