Summary

Stanley Street Treatment & Resources, Inc. (SSTAR) in Fall River, Massachusetts is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our treatment and leadership team. SSTAR is a non-profit healthcare agency with an international reputation as a leader in the provision of integrated care: merging primary medical, mental health, and substance disorder treatment. SSTAR is also nationally recognized for its success in research and for qualified individuals, we can support an academic affiliation with Brown University Department of Psychiatry. SSTAR is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic with SAMHSA-funded opportunities for service innovation. We are a designated site for state/federal health professional loan repayment programs. Fall River is one hour south of Boston, a half hour from Providence, and 45 minutes from Cape Cod.

This is a part-time opportunity.

Seeking candidate(s) for either or both of the following roles:

Medical Director, Enhanced Partial Hospital

15 to 20 hours a week
Provide medical oversite for 8-12 patients in a PHP model of care.
Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and direct clinical care for adults needing PHP level of care
Lead a multi-disciplinary team and provide teaching, training and coaching for the team
Provide oversight and supervision of the Clinical Nurse specialist assigned to treatment team on a weekly basis.
On site is preferred, but a hybrid model of care could also be employed.

Medical Director, Ambulatory Behavioral Health Clinic (ABH)

10 to 20 hours per week
Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment recommendations for outpatient adults
Provide directed clinical care and medication management for a panel of patients
Interested in, and preferably, experienced in, collaboration with primary care colleagues to achieve and integrated treatment model
Along with an administrative director, provide medical administrative direction for the department
Contribute clinical expertise to staff training and to ABH service planning and delivery
Supervise up to four psychiatric APRNs
Telephone only on-call responsibilities
On site is preferred, but a hybrid model of care could also be employed.

On-call responsibilities via telephone.

Experience and Skills:

Education & Experience

Graduation from an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic).
Completion of an accredited Psychiatrist residency.
Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted Massachusetts Medical License.
Board Certified or Board Eligible.
