**This is an ASAP contract need!**
*Details:*
* This is a Part Time *CONTRACT* position, lasting for 13 weeks
* Hours are 8am-5pm; Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
* Located in Peridot, AZ
* Working at a primary care facility so seeing patients of all ages
* This is located on the Native American Reserve
* The start date is 11/25/24*!*
*Duties:*
* Conducts comprehensive evaluations, overall findings and diagnoses of patients through use of history and other appropriate tests
* Administer and interpret screening, assessment, and diagnostic procedures, such as air conduction, bone conduction, speech audiometry, acoustic emittance (impedance) tests
* Design rehabilitation programs to help patients learn to identify sounds
* Measure hearing ability, and/or severity of hearing loss in individuals of all ages
* Assess the benefit of amplification devices, such as hearing aids
* Educate individuals on the use and care/maintenance of hearing aids or other assistive listening devices
* Maintains knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings and workshop participation
* Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives
* Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor
* Uphold all principles of confidentiality and patient care to the fullest extent.
* Adhere to all professional and ethical behavior standards of the healthcare industry.
* Interact in an honest, trustworthy and respectful manner with patients, employees, visitors and vendors.
* Display respect and understanding of all individual’s personal and cultural beliefs, values, ideas and contributions in a supportive manner
* Provide the utmost in customer service to both patients and fellow associates
* Performs other duties as required
*Knowledge and Skills:*
* Knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques of the field of Audiology
* Skills in the assessment, evaluation and treatment of individuals
* Skills associated with effective listening and communication
* Skills associated with making diagnoses, choosing, initiating and modifying therapies
* Ability to work with a variety of patients of varying ages
* Ability to quickly change priorities based on changing requirements
* Ability to discuss practices, techniques and procedures in lay terms
* Activities are primarily performed in an environmentally controlled healthcare clinic subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $55.00 – $62.00 per hour
