> REF:#a9df2767cd1e408a The Animal Cardiology Center, New York City’s premier veterinary cardiology only practice, seeks to add a Licensed Technician or Technologist to our staff as we continue to grow. As a specialty practice with multiple boarded veterinary cardiologists providing the highest standard of care to the dogs and cats of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and surrounding areas, we are continuing to expand as we broaden our reach to the communities we serve.

The Veterinary Technician/Technologist at TACC is a vital member of the practice management team. This role must be able to effectively lead and supervise by being organized, professional at all times, be an efficient communicator, and work well with veterinarians and other team members, both clinical and administrative. The position is essential in ensuring accurate, efficient and timely completion of daily clinical duties and responsibilities. The Tech also facilitates the flow of communication between doctors, the practice manager and clinical team members. This position also performs all of the duties of a licensed veterinary technician.

Schedule: Four day workweek

Essential job functions:

Provide specialized care
Record keeping
Ensure regulatory compliance
Plan patient flow
Maintain and track clinical inventory
Train new team members
Participate in the planning and execution of hospital events such as CE & marketing events
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
Communicate and attend meetings as required with members of the leadership team
Ensure regular maintenance of medical equipment.
Collaborate with Medical Director and practice manager:
To develop strategies for patient services, client service and hospital growth
Troubleshoot day to day operational concerns
In the absence of the practice manager provide support to the team and elevate concerns as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Physical requirements of the job:

Comfortable working with all types of animals
Ability to lift 40lbs
Capable of moving patients from carrier/floor to exam table
Able to stand for extended periods of time

Requirements:

Licensed in NY State
An affinity for animals
2-5 years’ experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician/Technologist
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong people and organizational skills
Ability to resolve conflict
Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited college or university
