Job Description
Seeking a Correctional Mental Health Counselor in Fort Smith, Arkansas, for an ongoing, full-time position at Sebastian County Jail.
Provide mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and suicide evaluations for incarcerated individuals.
Coordinate mental health care with facility and medical staff, develop individualized treatment and discharge plans.
Offer substance abuse counseling, promote community linkages, and ensure inmate safety during clinical decisions.
Participate in on-call coverage, provide jail staff mental health training, and complete other duties as assigned.
Must have a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or related field, and be licensed as a Social Worker, Therapist, or Counselor.
