Clinical Nurse (RN) Critical Care PER Diem

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care tailored to the specific age group served, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care aligned with unit standards.

Requirements include a graduate of an accredited nursing program, current RN license (state-specific or compact), and BLS certification within two weeks of hire. Additional certifications must be obtained within six months if not already held.

Skills necessary are current knowledge of patient care appropriate to the population, effective communication, and respect for patient rights.

Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.

Supervised by the Patient Care Director or Manager.

Environment involves exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays, working in a clean, well-lit setting with variable hours and potential emergencies.

Physical requirements include handling emergencies, prolonged standing/walking, patient transfer efforts, reaching, stooping, and visual/manual dexterity skills.
