Job Description
The Float Pool Nurse in the Med Surg department provides care across medicine, post-surgical, and emergency units.
Assess, coordinate, and manage patient needs throughout their stay, focusing on discharge planning and transitions.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments, and document care according to policies and regulations.
Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, assess patient responses, and apply sound nursing judgment.
Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administer medications, and collaborate on care plans.
Supervise ancillary staff and maintain professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical experience, including telemetry or ICU.
Salary ranges from $72,072 to $74,229.26 with an hourly range of $36.73 to $60.93.
