Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in the Labor & Delivery department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments and tests, documenting as required.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborates with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff.
  • Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
