Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing degree, current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.
1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
This role involves handling sensitive information per privacy regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
