Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care, ensuring a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the team to create and follow patient care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
