Job Description
The Post Anesthesia Care clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs and responses, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow patient care plans, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Requires a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Must have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
