Job Description

The Clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care, actively listening and fostering a caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments, procedures, and tests, documenting all activities.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborates with the team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.

    Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
    The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and supports quality improvement efforts.
