Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care unit provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments and tests, documenting as required.
Evaluates diagnostic tests and assesses patient needs and responses to care.
Uses sound nursing judgment for patient management and provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Administers medications and collaborates with the team to develop and follow care plans.
Supervises ancillary staff, ensuring professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
This role may involve handling sensitive information, requiring adherence to privacy and security policies.
