Job Description
The Post Anesthesia Care clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, tests, and documents care in compliance with policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs and responses, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
