Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) provides comprehensive patient care, coordinating and managing patient needs throughout their hospital stay, including transitions to discharge.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assessing patient responses.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborates with the team to develop care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Minimum 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, including at least 1 year in telemetry or ICU, is required.
Must demonstrate ongoing education, quality improvement knowledge, and adherence to patient privacy regulations.
