Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Adult Medical ICU provides compassionate, patient-centered care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, using sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, 2-3 years ICU or Med-Surg experience, and strong communication and organizational skills.
