Job Description
This night shift RN position in the Medical/Surgical Cardiac unit involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care to facilitate discharge and ensure quality care across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing primary and emergency care.
The role requires collaboration with the care team to develop and execute patient care plans, guide ancillary staff, and maintain nursing standards.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred prior nursing assistance experience.
The unit is a 29-bed cardiac telemetry unit serving a diverse adult population with various cardiac diagnoses, requiring monitoring post-procedures.
