Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care, demonstrating kindness and active listening.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for both primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans and guides ancillary staff while maintaining professional standards.
Requires a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate nursing degree, a current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organization, and quality improvement knowledge are essential.
This role may involve handling sensitive information, requiring adherence to privacy and confidentiality standards.
