Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting procedures.
Evaluates diagnostic tests and patient responses to care.
Uses sound nursing judgment for patient management, providing primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.
Minimum 1-3 years clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Must have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
