Job Description
The registered nurse in the Operating Room assesses, plans, and manages surgical patientsâ care throughout their stay, advocating for patients during procedures and coordinating care with the team.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, evaluating patient needs, applying sound judgment, guiding ancillary staff, and ensuring compassionate, quality care.
Minimum qualifications: nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current NYS RN license, BLS certification (CNOR preferred), and 1-3 years of surgical RN experience.
The role involves working night shifts in a high-tech surgical environment with advanced robotic, cardiac, neurology, urology, vascular, and pediatric facilities.
Candidates must adhere to strict confidentiality policies regarding patient information and comply with federal and state regulations.
