Job Description
The Registered Professional Nurse in the Operating Room assesses, plans, coordinates, and manages patient care during their hospital stay and transitions, ensuring compassionate and competent treatment for patients, staff, and referring facilities.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care following policies and regulations.
Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as prescribed.
Collaborates with the team to develop and implement patient care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and strong communication and organizational skills.
