Job Description
The clinical Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides compassionate, patient-centered care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments and tests.
They assess and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate patient needs, and apply sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care.
Directs ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The role requires adherence to confidentiality policies and regulations regarding sensitive information.
