Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit provides compassionate care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment for care management.
Offers primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborates with the team to develop care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate nursing degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential.
The role involves maintaining patient privacy and adhering to legal and organizational standards.
