Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides compassionate patient care, collaborates with the team, and ensures safety and quality standards.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses, applying sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates on care plans, directs ancillary staff, and maintains professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality improvement.
