The Clinical Nurse in Labor & Delivery contributes to a compassionate environment through kindness and active listening, recognizing each employeeâs value.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs, responses to care, and uses sound nursing judgment for management decisions.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates to create Plans of Care and guides ancillary staff to maintain professional standards.
Cross-trains and works on either High Risk Antepartum or Labor and Delivery units routinely.
The role involves handling sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality per HIPAA and state regulations.
