Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Labor & Delivery (D6E) provides compassionate patient care, demonstrating kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments/tests, and documents care according to policies.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Evaluates patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care.
Directs ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Cross-trains between High Risk Antepartum and Labor & Delivery units, working on either as assigned.
The role involves handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
