Job Description
The clinical Nurse in Labor & Delivery contributes to a compassionate environment by providing patient-centered care and collaborating with the team.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documentation.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Participates in creating and implementing patient care plans, supervising ancillary staff, and maintaining professional standards.
Cross-trains to work on both High Risk Antepartum and Labor & Delivery units, routinely assigned to either.
The role involves handling sensitive information with confidentiality and adhering to regulations.
